Lead the Stage at the Valley’s Grandest Address
At the base of South Mountain, where the desert sun gilds a resort unlike any other in Phoenix, banquets aren’t simply served — they’re orchestrated. Arizona Grand Resort & Spa is the city’s largest all-suite property, home to a seven-acre water park, award-winning dining, and a four-diamond standard that demands nothing less than excellence. We’re seeking a polished, commanding presence to lead our banquet floor — someone who treats every ballroom like a stage and every event like opening night.
The Opportunity
This is not a job of trays and tablecloths. This is choreography — the art of timing, precision, and grace under pressure. You’ll direct a team of servers through flawless execution, from the first fold of linen to the final farewell to a grateful bride. You’ll be the calm in the storm, the eye for detail, the one who makes magic look effortless.
- Lead and inspire banquet staff through every phase of event service — setup, execution, and breakdown — with precision and poise
- Train, mentor, and elevate your team to meet the resort’s exacting four-diamond standards
- Partner with Banquet Managers and the Culinary team to bring each Banquet Event Order to life
- Oversee inventory, equipment, and service areas with an unwavering eye for cleanliness and readiness
- Step confidently into the spotlight for weddings, galas, and VIP functions — including Wedding Shadow and Site Meal responsibilities
- Document each event’s story through detailed captain’s reports, capturing wins and opportunities alike
- Champion safety, professionalism, and guest delight in everything you do
What You Bring
- A high school diploma or equivalent; further education a welcome bonus
- At least two years of supervisory experience in food and beverage service
- Food Handler’s Card, Title IV Alcohol Certificate, and a valid Arizona driver’s license (CPR/First Aid a plus)
- A sharp mind for logistics, math, and multitasking under pressure
- An unshakable sense of hospitality — the kind that turns guests into loyal fans
- The stamina to stand, move, and lead through long, dynamic shifts
- Polish, professionalism, and a commitment to impeccable presentation

If you believe that service is an art form and leadership is a performance worth perfecting, we’d love to see what you bring to the floor.
The Arizona Grand Resort & Spa’s leaders and associates believe each guest should be treated with respect and professionalism. We create a genuine experience, enticing our guests to return again and again. This includes possessing and demonstrating a high level of courtesy and respect for both internal and external guests. Our fun, friendly and enthusiastic associates treat every guest as if they were our only guest. A true customer focus is essential to success with our property.
