Summary of Position:
We’re looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Guest Services Agent to join our team! This role is more than just a front desk position—you will be the first and last impression for our guests, assist in our General Store, and liaise with housekeeping, maintenance, and our public attendants to ensure every stay is exceptional. Additionally, you will guide guests through the sauna process, ensuring they have a relaxing and informed experience.

Essential Functions:
Guest Services & Front Desk Operations
- Greet guests immediately with a warm, sincere welcome and assist with check-ins and check-outs.
- Use a positive, clear speaking voice, listening attentively to understand guest requests.
- Answer telephone calls promptly and professionally, assisting with reservations, inquiries, and internal guest communication.
- Complete the registration process by inputting and retrieving information in the property management system (PMS), confirming details, and making necessary changes.
- Verify and swipe credit cards for authorization and ensure proper photo ID verification at check-in.
- Handle cash transactions, issue receipts, make change, and balance an assigned house bank.
- Post charges to guest rooms and house accounts accurately.
- Close guest accounts at checkout, ensuring satisfaction and resolving any issues as necessary.
- Monitor all communication channels and respond in real time.
- Assist in other front desk tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager and General Manager.
Sauna Experience Coordination
- Walk each guest through the Nordic Sauna process, explaining its benefits and proper usage.
- Liaise with Public Attendants to ensure the sauna areas remain clean and stocked.
- Answer guest questions regarding the spa experience and assist in scheduling sauna sessions.
General Store & Retail Assistance
- Assist with retail transactions, including selling snacks, beverages, and boutique items.
- Prepare and serve barista-style coffee and tea to guests.
- Provide recommendations for hotel products, local attractions, and services.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the General Store.
Liaison Between Departments
- Coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for check-ins and special requests are fulfilled.
- Communicate with Maintenance regarding any guest concerns or room issues.
- Work closely with Public Attendants for cleanliness and readiness of shared spaces, including the sauna and common areas.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Graduate or equivalent required; college education preferred but not required.
Certificates or Licenses: N/A
Experience: A minimum of one year front desk / night audit or customer service experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to make quick and efficient decisions to benefit the guest, team and operation.
• Ability to memorize, reflect and perform our Purpose, Pillars and Service Standards.
• Ability to use a moderately complex computer system and troubleshoot software problems
• Ability to utilize a calculator to prepare moderately complex mathematical calculations without error.
• Must type a minimum of 15 WPM.
Personal Characteristics:
• Behaves ethically and honestly.
• Communicates effectively: Speaks and listens and engages in a clear, thorough, and timely manner, effectively reading and writing, using the English language (preferred).
• Professional Appearance: Exhibits an appearance appropriate for a four diamond resort (Specific grooming standards are available for review).
