Join the Heart of Flagstaff’s Favorite Mountain Lodge
Picture this: towering ponderosa pines, crisp mountain air, and the San Francisco Peaks standing guard over one of the coolest small cities in the Southwest. Now picture yourself at the center of it all — keeping our lodge sparkling, welcoming, and ready to wow every guest who walks through the door. If you take pride in a job well done and love being part of a team that treats hospitality like an art form, we want to meet you.
At High Country Motor Lodge, we believe genuine hospitality starts with the little details — the gleaming lobby floor, the fresh towels by the sauna, the friendly face who points a lost guest toward Lowell Observatory or the trailhead up Mount Elden. That friendly, detail-loving face? We’re hoping it’s yours.
What You’ll Do
- Keep our lobby, walkways, and guest restrooms spotless and inviting — the kind of clean guests notice and remember
- Give our sauna and steam room the five-star treatment it deserves
- Dust, polish, and primp every corner, following our “look book” to a tee
- Tidy up outdoor seating areas, ashtrays, and walkways so our mountain views stay the star of the show
- Lend a hand (and a smile) to our Housekeeping team whenever needed
- Be a go-to guide for guests — directions, recommendations, and friendly conversation included
- Help keep everyone safe by reporting hazards and knowing emergency procedures
- Nurture our lodge greenery so it thrives as much as our guests’ vacations do
What You Bring
- A high school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- At least six months of experience in cleaning, janitorial, or caretaking work
- The stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 100 lbs — because this job keeps you moving
- A sharp eye for detail and a genuine love of clean, welcoming spaces
- Great communication skills and comfort following instructions from your team leads
- A warm, professional presence that fits our four-diamond standard
- Honesty, independence, and a can-do attitude
