Lead Hospitality Where Desert Charm Meets Legendary Service
At El Chorro, hospitality is more than a job—it’s a tradition. Nestled in the heart of Paradise Valley, framed by iconic mountain views and Arizona sunshine, El Chorro has welcomed generations of guests for unforgettable dining, celebrations, weddings, and milestone moments. Our historic lodge pairs timeless character with a vibrant, elevated dining experience—and our people are at the center of it all.
We’re looking for an energetic, hands-on hospitality leader who thrives on creating exceptional experiences, developing great teams, and making every shift feel seamless. This is an opportunity to help lead one of the Valley’s most distinctive restaurant and event destinations while building a culture where associates feel supported, inspired, and proud of the work they do.
If you know how to turn a busy service into a beautifully orchestrated experience, coach a team to bring its best, recover a guest moment with genuine care, and keep an eye on both the details and the bottom line, you’ll feel right at home here.
What You’ll Help Create
- An exceptional guest experience rooted in warm, polished, genuine hospitality—from a casual lunch on the patio to a once-in-a-lifetime private celebration.
- A confident, engaged front-of-house and bar team that understands how to make guests feel seen, welcomed, and eager to return.
- Service standards that reflect El Chorro’s legacy, the natural beauty of Paradise Valley, and the elevated expectations of our local and destination guests.
- A dynamic beverage program with thoughtful cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits that complement our culinary offerings and enhance every occasion.
- Efficient, profitable, well-run operations that never lose sight of the human side of hospitality.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Partner closely with the General Manager, culinary leaders, and corporate team to lead the daily rhythm of restaurant, bar, and banquet operations.
- Lead, coach, develop, and schedule front-of-house and bar associates, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
- Be a visible, engaged presence on the floor—guiding service flow, connecting with guests, supporting associates, and ensuring every detail is handled with care.
- Oversee front-of-house operations, including labor deployment, scheduling, opening and closing procedures, service standards, guest recovery, and operational readiness.
- Lead and elevate the bar and cocktail program, including beverage quality, menu execution, product selection, cocktail standards, inventory, ordering, and cost control.
- Collaborate on an inspired beverage program that feels at home in Paradise Valley—thoughtful, elevated, welcoming, and aligned with El Chorro’s celebrated food and guest experience.
- Oversee banquet and private-event service, helping deliver polished execution for weddings, corporate gatherings, celebrations, and special occasions across our distinctive property.
- Monitor beverage inventory, purchasing, product usage, waste, and costs to support profitability and budget goals.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, labor management, sales performance, and operational reporting.
- Conduct engaging pre-shift meetings, service meetings, coaching sessions, and training that keep teams informed, energized, and aligned.
- Train associates in service standards, beverage knowledge, cocktail preparation, responsible alcohol service, guest engagement, and operational procedures.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, recognition, and career development for hospitality associates.
- Ensure compliance with liquor laws, food and workplace safety requirements, responsible alcohol service standards, and company policies.
- Step in wherever needed. At El Chorro, great leaders lead from the front and understand that no detail is too small when a guest’s experience is on the line.
What You Bring To The Table
- A genuine love of hospitality and a strong instinct for making people feel welcome.
- At least three years of progressive restaurant or hospitality management experience.
- Strong front-of-house leadership experience, with the ability to coach teams, manage performance, build trust, and inspire consistent excellence.
- Experience overseeing bar operations and beverage programs, including inventory, purchasing, beverage costs, cocktail execution, and responsible alcohol service.
- Knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, cocktails, current beverage trends, and elevated service standards.
- Experience with high-end banquet operations, private events, event flow, and memorable guest-facing execution.
- A sharp business mindset and comfort working with budgets, forecasts, labor, sales, product usage, and cost-control measures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the confidence to work effectively with associates, guests, vendors, and leadership partners.
- The ability to assess operational and financial information, identify opportunities, and turn insights into action.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel. Experience using AI tools and technology for scheduling, reporting, communication, inventory, and administrative efficiency is valued.
