As a Bar Supervisor at Bud's Bar, located within the luxurious La Playa Hotel, Carmel, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the bar. This position requires a passion for mixology, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

(90% Floor Driven Position 10% Administrative Position)
1. Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a wide range of cocktails, drinks, and beverages with precision and creativity.
2. Management: Oversee bar inventory, including ordering, batching rotation, and minimizing waste to maintain optimal stock levels.
3. Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate bar staff, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain high service standards.
4. Guest Interaction: Interact with guests, taking orders, offering recommendations, and ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
5. Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and consistency of beverages by adhering to established recipes and standards.
6. Compliance: Maintain a thorough understanding of all applicable laws, policies, and regulations related to the service of alcoholic beverages.
7. Cleanliness and Maintenance: Ensure that the bar area is kept clean, organized, and well-maintained to provide a safe and attractive environment.
8. Financial Responsibility: Monitor bar revenue, handle cash, and assist in budgeting and financial reporting.
9. Customer Satisfaction: Strive to exceed guest expectations and resolve any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bartender or bar supervisor in a high-end bar or restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of mixology and a passion for crafting innovative cocktails.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a team.
- Understanding of and compliance with all applicable alcohol-related laws and regulations.
- Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS or equivalent) is a plus.
- Must be of legal drinking age.
